KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

The practical stuff. Read it before you're standing in the SJD parking lot arguing about van prices.

🚐

Getting There

  • Fly into Cabo (SJD), then drive to La Paz — ~2 to 2.5 hrs.
  • Book the private van EARLY. Coordinate arrivals so we ride together.
  • The house is Hidalgo 75, one block off the malecón.
💵

Money

  • Pesos. Bring cash for cabs and street food.
  • Agree cab fares up front — ~50–80 MXN for malecón hops.
  • DiDi works great; taxis are reliable too.
  • Reserves: Make sure Tatanka, Oyster House (for catch-and-cook), Azotea (requires a 500 MXN/person deposit), and Seis Uno Dos are booked before we land.
🌡️

Weather

  • End of July = hot + humid, ~90s°F.
  • Chance of afternoon storms.
  • Reef-safe sunscreen, hats — you WILL get cooked on the boat.
🎒

Pack List

  • Rash guard + motion-sickness meds for the charter.
  • Sandals + one going-out pair of shoes.
  • Cash, sunglasses, electrolytes. Hydrate or die-drate.
